1.  The HUNIÑO Song Writing Competition is open to all amateur and professional composers in Cebu .
2.  The song must be an original composition of an individual or a collaborative work of the composer and lyricist. The song/songs      submitted for screening have never been published or performed publicly.
3.  The composition must be Liturgically related.
4.  All songs must not exceed 5 minutes.
5.  The Lyrics may be in English, Tagalog, Cebuano or combination.
6.  The contestants may submit as many entries as they want. However, only one song will become a finalist based on the higher rank      during screening.
7.  A song entry may be submitted with only a guitar or piano accompaniments. A complete musical arrangement of entries are also      welcome.
8.  A contestant must submit one entry form per song together with 10 copies of the lyrics, a demo cassette tape or CD of the song. Place      all materials in a short brown envelope. Nothing must be written outside the envelope on the cassette or CD nor on the lyric sheet      except the title of the song.
9.  Entry Forms may be obtained at the Soundtraxx Production Studio at Tisa, Labangon, Cebu City (Tel. No. 2618435) and Rector's Office      at Basilica del Santo Niño, Osmeña Boulevard, Cebu City      (Tel. No. 2556697-99 loc. 400)
10.  All entries must be submitted to the Rector's Office, Basilica del Santo Niño, Osmeña Boulevard , Cebu City .
11.  Deadline for the submission of entry/entries is on September 30, 20069 at 4:00pm .
12.  Grand finals will be on January 10, 2007 at 7:30 pm on the eve of the Opening Salvo of novena masses of Fiesta Señor 2007        celebration to be held at the Santo Niño Pilgrim Center in front of the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño church.
13.  All Augustinian Friars and seminarians of the Province of Santo Niño de Cebu Philippines are exempted to join this competition.
